NSPCC Number Day – 2nd February

Join thousands of schools for a mega maths-inspired fundraising day and raise money for the NSPCC. With new creative activities this year, it’s maths but not as you know it! Whether you dedicate a day or an hour to being a maths maverick, every pound you raise counts towards our fight for every childhood.


Wear Red Day – 2nd February

Support Children’s Heart Surgery Fund this Wear Red Day and help children and adults born with congenital heart disease. Your fundraising will help fund ground-breaking new equipment, resources, training and research, as well as support for children and their families whenever they need it.

Tinnitus Week – 5th – 11th February

The aim of the week is to raise awareness of the condition, which affects approximately 1 in 10 of the population. For the first time, the international tinnitus community will join forces to shine a light on the condition, targeting as many people as possible in order to raise awareness of how tinnitus impacts on the lives of those living with it.


Safer Internet Day – 6th February

Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people and inspire a national conversation.


Shrove Tuesday = 13th February

Shrove Tuesday (known in some countries as Pancake Tuesday) is a day in February or March preceding Ash Wednesday (the first day of Lent), which is celebrated in some countries by consuming pancakes.

Chinese New Yearalso known as the “Spring Festival” (simplified Chinese: 春节; traditional Chinese: 春節; Pinyin: Chūn Jié) in modern China, is an important Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. Celebrations traditionally run from the evening preceding the first day, to the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first calendar month. The first day of the New Year falls on the new moon between 21 Jan and 20 Feb.
