Pride month

Every year, during the month of June, the LGBT community celebrates in a number of different ways. Across the globe, various events are held during this special month as a way of recognising the influence LGBT people have had around the world. Why was June chosen? Because it is when the Stonewall Riots took place, way back in 1969.

Diabetes Awareness Week 11 June- 17th June

Diabetes U.K. organizes Diabetes Week. The charity has a long history of campaigning; it was founded in 1934 by the writer H.G.Wells and Dr. R.D. Lawrence, who were themselves diabetics. The week is all about creating awareness of the condition and encouraging people to share their experiences of living with diabetes.
