 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment

 Unit Title

 A1 Understanding the principles and practices of assessment

 This is the first of 3 Assessor qualifications on offer and is designed to develop your knowledge and understanding of the Assessment Process in either a work based or vocational setting.  For many people, this is the first stepping stone to securing employment in a college or private training organisation.  The programme is available at our Liverpool training centre and comprises a one day taught session followed by a planned assessment via discussion at an agreed future date.  If you are unable to attend the taught session, one to one support can be provided online.

Standard Course Fee: £250.00 including certification

Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement

You must firstly complete the Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (A1), before undertaking this further unit.

Unit Title

 A3 Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

 This qualification is designed for those who assess outside of the workplace eg in a training centre or college.  The programme looks at how assessments should be planned, undertaken, recorded and quality assured.  This is a taught programme at our Liverpool training centre, but if you are unable to attend in person, one to one online coaching and mentoring can be provided to enable you to access the qualification.

Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Place

You must firstly complete the Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (A1), before undertaking this further unit.

Unit Title

A2 Assess occupational competence in the work environment

If you are assessing in the workplace eg assessing apprentices or colleagues working towards vocational programmes, this is the correct qualification route for you.  Techniques for planning work-based assessment will be taught, together with methods of assessment, how to provide constructive feedback and the importance of encouraging self-reflection will be some of the areas covered.

Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

Unit Title

If your role involves both work-based assessing and vocational assessing ie if you are a tutor/assessor who conducts assessments in both the workplace and a classroom or vocational setting, you need to undertake all 3 of the above awards to be fully qualified.

MANAGEMENT QUALIFICATIONS

 

LEVEL 5 NVQ DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT

 This qualification will provide you with the required skills to work in a variety of job roles that involve management, for example Manager, Senior Manager, Head of Department or Director. The qualification may help you to obtain promotion or improve your skills in relation to your current role.

 

What does this qualification cover?

This qualification comprises the following mandatory units:

  • Contribute to the development of a strategic plan
  • Design business processes
  • Manage strategic change
  • Provide leadership and management

 

Learners will also need to undertake optional units tailored to their role or development needs.

The average timescale for completion of this qualification is 12 months, however some learners prefer to accelerate their learning.

How is the qualification delivered and assessed?

We have many years of experience in delivering and assessing this qualification with senior managers in both public and private sector organisations.  Your tutor/assessor will work with you on a one to one basis to identify your development needs, plan support and development and to prepare you for assessment.  Assessment will be in the form of guided professional discussions, assessment of work records, observation and witness testimony.

 The cost of this qualification is £2500.00 plus VAT.

This is an interactive half day training programme designed to update knowledge and promote best practice in Equality and Diversity in the Workplace.

Lead the development of a quality strategy

The principles underpinning the development of a quality strategy are covered in this module, together with the development and management of a quality strategy.

This module is fully certificated on successful completion and is designed to cover 20 guided learning hours.  Learning can take place online, with support and guidance from a designated tutor and assessor.

 

 

Lead the development of a continuous improvement strategy

In this module you will explore the scope of continuous improvement and its relationship with other systems.  The development of a continuous improvement strategy will also be covered, together with the implementation of systems and procedures capable of measuring business performance.

This module is fully certificated on successful completion and is designed to cover 28 guided learning hours.  Learning can take place online, with support and guidance from a designated tutor and assessor.

The NSPCC hold a yearly event called the NSCC Messathon, and 2018 is no different! This yearly event is to bring awareness to the NSPCC, celebrate the achievements and work of those working in the field of child care, and raise donations for the charity and the work they do. National Cancer Survivor Day 3rd June

National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual Celebration of Life that is held in hundreds of communities nationwide and around the world.

Diabetes Awareness Week 11 June- 17th June

Diabetes U.K. organizes Diabetes Week. The charity has a long history of campaigning; it was founded in 1934 by the writer H.G.Wells and Dr. R.D. Lawrence, who were themselves diabetics. The week is all about creating awareness of the condition and encouraging people to share their experiences of living with diabetes. Many other groups and organizations take part in diabetes week, hosting a wide variety of informative and fund raising events.
